His under the bed “garage” is always fun to straighten up. He’s got a couple hundred more matchbox cars he never messes with in a box somewhere some of them are from when I was a kid. Anyway spoil the kids when it comes to oppo related items I say!

Hope they come south soon. They are scouting a location not far from us here in Raleigh but it’ll still be years before it’s complete if it even happens

Everyone I know who has lived by a Wegmans and moved away has regretted the loss of that grocery store. On the other hand, though, you get to skip the desolate, sunless winters... Tough call.

Nice Hess collection. What’s the race car?
I have one of the green/yellow/red truck/trailer combos that my grandfather sent me from NJ when I was 3 or 4 (I’m 41 now), but it’s been pretty badly damaged by leaky batteries.
Come see us at Live and Let Diecast!

We just stock pile items we love when we visit the rust belt. The Raleigh area has basically every other grocery store on the east coast so it hasn’t been to bad honestly.

The car is the 2009 hess truck/car. It has another car inside it and is pretty darn cool. https://www.amazon.com/2009-Hess-Race…
I’ll get him to do a spread one day if you guys are ok with him posting under my name (to young to be exposed to the kinja). Maybe it will get him excited about them again. He’s currently off the deep end with $tar War$ lego$ and its hurting the wallet.

Also don’t know your skill set but most of these are easily repaired even if they are nearly destroyed. I’ve rescued a few here. Mostly simple wiring since its just lights and speakers. You will need a soldering iron though. 99% of the damage is typically just the battery holder.
